How We Test and Score OnlyFans Search Engines

This page explains every test behind our ranking: how we run it, what each result is worth, and where our data comes from. Anyone should be able to repeat a test and reach the same result.

Last updated September 24, 2026 · Applies to all 45 engines in the current ranking

1. Principles

Same test for everyoneEvery engine is tested with the same queries, device setup and location.
Only what we can checkClaims count only if we can verify them. Features that are advertised but don’t work lose points.
No paid rankingsEngines can’t pay to change their score or position. Any future advertising will be disclosed.
Open correctionsEngine owners can request a re-test, and every change is dated in the changelog.

2. Test setup

All tests in this round were run by hand in September 2026 under these conditions:

US locationSame country for every test
IncognitoLogged out, no history
Desktop + mobileEvery engine on both
Top 10 resultsTwo fixed queries
PageSpeed InsightsMobile and desktop speed
SimilarwebMonthly traffic data
WHOISDomain founding year
September 2026Date of this round

3. How the score works

Each metric gives points. Most give +1 for having something and 0 for not having it. Broken features, fake claims, unlabeled ads and paywalls give minus points.

Product tests 43+Audience & engagement 12=55 points→ shown as a score out of 100

4. Every metric, explained

Search quality · up to 20 pts

Two fixed queries, top 10 results each.

MetricWhat we checkLabels and points
Basic queryWhat share of the top 10 results match a simple one-word search. We search “redhead” and look at the first 10 results. Each result that clearly matches earns 1 point. Sponsored results count like any other result, so an off-topic ad loses the point.Score out of 10 = points
Long-tail testWhether the engine understands a search with several conditions. We search “blonde with big tits” and look at the first 10 results. A result must match every part of the query to earn the point.Score out of 10 = points

Features · up to 11 pts

Filters, sorting, autocomplete, saving, image search, feed, natural language, layout, location.

Similarweb visits and engagement.

MetricWhat we checkLabels and points
Traffic volumeHow many people visit the engine each month. Similarweb estimate of monthly visits. Visit durationHow long a visitor stays. Similarweb average visit duration.Over 3 min +2 · 1 to 3 min +1 · under 1 min 0

5. Audience data and small engines

Traffic data comes from Similarweb. Its estimates are reasonable for bigger sites but unreliable for small ones. So engines with no data, or under 50,000 monthly visits, get −5 for traffic volume, and their other traffic metrics are not scored.

Where a country is mentioned, it’s shown for information only and isn’t scored.

Creator score: how we rank engines for advertisers

The creator ranking answers a different question from the fan ranking: where does an ad budget reach the most real, paying fans for the least money? It uses the same traffic data, plus advertising prices and our rating of each ad network.

Who is ranked

Only engines where creators can buy ads are ranked: through the engine’s own ad page, an ad network, or a published contact for advertisers. 27 of 45 engines qualify. Engines that don’t sell ads are listed separately and not scored.

How we collect the data

  1. Traffic. Monthly visits, traffic sources, top country and engagement from Similarweb for September 2026.
  2. Prices. We use the engine’s own published prices first. Where an engine sells through an ad network, the network’s prices fill any gaps. Prices behind a login come from advertiser accounts and are marked as such.
  3. One average price. Where an engine or network publishes a price range, we use its midpoint as the average (for example $0.40–$0.80 becomes $0.60). Where a network publishes its own average, we use that. Scores and rankings use this average.
  4. Currency. Prices in euros are converted to US dollars at the rate on the day of testing (1 EUR = 1.1448 USD on 22 September 2026).
  5. Several networks. If an engine has no published prices of its own and sells through several networks, its average price is the average of the networks’ average prices. The minimum deposit is the lowest one available.
  6. Public price. A price counts as public only if anyone can see it without an advertiser account.
  7. Network rating. Each ad network gets a quality rating, explained below.

How the score is calculated

The maximum is 32 points, shown as a score out of 100. Ties are ordered by search-intent visits, then by fan-score points.

PartWhat we checkPoints
Search-intent audienceMonthly visits × (organic + direct + paid search share). These are people actively looking for creators, not traffic bought from other sites.Over 1M +8 · 500k +7 · 250k +6 · 150k +5 · 100k +4 · 50k +3 · below +2 · under 50k total visits −5
EngagementBounce rate, pages per visit and visit duration, scored the same way as in the fan ranking.0 to +6
Adult-site shareShare of visits referred from adult sites. This traffic usually converts poorly to paying subscribers.5% or less +1 · up to 20% 0 · over 20% −1 · not scored under 50k visits
Top countryThe country most visits come from. Fans in Tier 1 countries spend more on average.Tier 1 +1 · others 0 · not scored under 50k visits
Network qualityOur rating of where ads end up, for each ad network. An engine sold through several networks gets the best rating. Reasons are on the methodology page.PUR Agency +4 · Direct +3 · OnlyTraffic +2 · TrafficJunky −2 · CreatorTraffic −4
BuyingHow easy and cheap it is to start: whether ads are sold, whether prices are public, the average cost per click and the minimum deposit.Sells ads +1 · public price +2 · CPC ≤ $0.60 +2 (≤ $1.00 +1) · deposit ≤ $100 +2 (≤ $500 +1)
Creator-friendlyWhether creators can add a profile for free and ask for removal.Free listing +1 · removal / DMCA +1
Engine qualityThe engine’s product-test points, scaled. Better engines keep visitors engaged, so ads convert better.0 to +3

Ad network ratings

Most engines sell ads through a network, and where an ad ends up depends on it. These ratings are our assessment, based on the traffic of each network’s sites and on what the networks claim.

PUR Agency PUR Agency+4 pts

OnlyFinder’s own ad network, sold through onlyfinder-ads.com. Its sites have high organic and direct shares and low adult-site referrals, which in our assessment makes it the best-quality search traffic.
